A brief course tour

The Intrepid Dezine Half Marathon starts at 7:00 a.m (Sub 1:50) & 7:10. The route winds its way down University Crescent, Pembina Highway, Crescent Drive Park, then onto South Drive and Wildwood Park, and Pembina Highway, where it breaks away from the full marathon, as you turn right onto Jubilee Ave, at Mile 6. You continue on to Jubilee Avenue and then cruise past Winnipeg's legendary ice cream joint - The BDI - (sorry, NOT an official hospitality station) and over the Elm Park Bridge with its stunning views of the Red River, and a right turn onto graceful and shaded Kingston Crescent. At Mile 8, the Half Marathon course reconnects with the full Marathon course at the Winnipeg Canoe Club and continues on to Dunkirk, then St. Vital Road and River Road. The "big hill" on the Manitoba Marathon course is at Mile 11 - the Bishop Grandin Bridge followed by the short incline back onto Pembina Highway, as the course returns to University Crescent and the Finish Line at University Stadium.

This is an event where you won't need an elevation map - with a maximum elevation change of 3 metres (10 feet), "flat as a pancake" is an apt description.
