The Winnipeg Free Press 10K is a non competitive event. Plan for a run or a leisurely stroll this Father's Day - choose your own fitness challenge and experience the thrill of participating in the Manitoba Marathon!

The Winnipeg Free Press 10K starts along side the first wave of the Super Run, at 7:15am You will have the thrill of seeing the full marathoners, half marathoners, and relay runners head out and then it's your turn! You'll be back at the University Stadium Finish in time to see the half marathon, marathon, and relay runners cross the finish line!

Baby strollers? Sure thing! Sign the little tykes up as well, and add their Runner Numbers and Chips to your list of happy childhood memories. You may wish to start at the back of the pack for safety reasons.

A Brief Course Tour

The Winnipeg Free Press 10K heads out and back along the first 5 kilometres of the Manitoba Marathon course, leaving the University of Manitoba campus down University Crescent to Pembina Highway and Crescent Drive, with a turn-around after your walk through scenic Crescent Drive Park . Along the way, you'll experience the on course entertainment that make the Manitoba Marathon so much fun, as well as the hospitality stations at Miles 2 and 5 of your event. Be sure to smile back at our volunteers with their Miles of Smiles, and enjoy the cheering crowds at University Stadium, as you come in for your celebration lap on the track on your way to the Finish Line.

Awards

The Winnipeg Free Press 10K and the Great-West Life Super Run are non-competitive events.

Important Registration Dates for 2012

April 29 - Early Bird fees end.

May 30 - Mail deadline & Countdown 26 Online Deadline.

June 1 - Last day to drop-off at Stride Ahead Sports.

June 9 - Office hours: 11am - 1pm.

June 11 - Last Day for Relay Registrations & $20 Individual Event changes at our office.

June 12 - Registration for the Manitoba Hydro Power Smart Relay Closes

June 13 - Online Registration for Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and Super Run closes at 11:59:59pm.

June 15-16 - Manitoba Marathon 2 day Expo/Runner Pickup - Late registration and Event Changes Available

June 16 - Last Minute Expo registration ends at 5:00 p.m. Expo fees in effect. Relay registration not available.

June 17 - Race Day - Mini-Mite registration ($2) at Manitoba Marathon Start Line, 5:45 - 6:30 a.m.
